Muscle & Strength 101
I was working too much. I had to get better at my job but the stress was killing me. Soon a beer after work was all I needed to take the edge off. I started gaining wait. My attitude was increasingly negative. I was miserable.
This wasn't sustainable. I realized I had to get back to the basics and prioritize my body, my health and my mind if I wanted to change. That's when I recommitted myself to weightlifting. It was a childhood passion of mine that had kept me out of trouble in the past and here it was again coming to save the day.
Over the next few months I pushed myself to build good habits – to rebuild those neural connections so that I would actually want to go to gym.
This healthy form of stress relief changed my life for the better. I gave up drinking because I didn't need it as a bandaid over my misery any longer. In fact, I came back to my work with renewed fervor – learning new skills and making each day rewarding.
What about you? Does it feel like life has stretched you too thin and you're unable to take on anymore? Is the stress of work and life withering you down into a semblance of your former self? Do you reach for food or substances for relief?
Maybe some of this resonates with you. Maybe you just want to be the best version of yourself that you can possibly be. If so, I've written this guide for you.
We'll focus on the fundamental principles that will build you up and make you strong.
Let's begin.
